MiningMaven SMP KOTH Rewards Guide
See exactly how KOTH rewards work on MiningMaven SMP, from the 3-minute solo capture to the crate, money, and Tokens you earn.
KOTH on MiningMaven SMP is worth showing up for because the reward is immediate, useful, and tied to actually holding the hill. If you want the short version: win the event, and you can earn a KOTH Key, $10,000, and 10 Tokens, while KOTH gear comes from the KOTH Crate at spawn.
What you can get from KOTH
The server’s KOTH rewards are built around the event outcome, not just participation. Winning pays exactly 1 KOTH Key + $10,000 + 10 Tokens, and that win also counts toward your KOTH wins total. The KOTH Key opens the KOTH Crate at spawn, where you can also pull KOTH Sword, Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots, plus coins, flight vouchers, Enchanter and Supreme keys, and a 100 Tokens prize.
- 1 KOTH Key
- $10,000
- 10 Tokens
- KOTH gear from the KOTH Crate at spawn
- Coins, flight vouchers, Enchanter and Supreme keys, and a 100 Tokens prize in the crate
How rewards are distributed
KOTH rewards go to the player who wins the event. The hill is the arena at spawn, and only one player can capture at a time. If two or more players are inside the zone, the boss bar shows "Contested!" and capture progress pauses for everyone. The KOTH Key goes straight into your inventory, dropped at your feet if it is full, the $10,000 goes to your balance (/bal), and the 10 Tokens go to your Token balance.
How to make sure you actually earn the reward
- Join the event when the pre-event announcement goes out so you are there before the fight starts.
- Stand in the capture zone alone for 3 minutes (180 seconds) of accumulated capture time.
- Do not let anyone else stay in the zone with you, because teammates standing in the zone with you block your own capture.
- Finish the capture, then check your inventory, /bal, and Token balance for the KOTH payout you earned.
What to expect from KOTH on MiningMaven
MiningMaven’s KOTH is auto-scheduled and announced before it starts, so you do not need to guess when to log in. Events run four times a day at 12:00, 16:00, 20:00 and 00:00 Central, which is 1pm, 5pm, 9pm and 1am Eastern, with warnings on screen and in chat 15, 5 and 1 minutes before. Each event lasts at most 15 minutes; if nobody completes a capture in that time, the event ends with no winner and no reward.
Best reasons to participate even if you are not a PvP main
- The rewards are tied to the event outcome, so your time has a clear payoff.
- KOTH wins contribute to leaderboard progress on the KOTH Champions board at spawn.
- Even one good run can be worth it if you want a KOTH Key, money, Tokens, or a shot at crate prizes.
How KOTH capture can change mid-fight
Taking any damage while you are the capturer resets your progress to zero and starts a 5 second knockout during which nothing counts. Progress only regresses, draining at half speed, when the zone is completely empty. If the capturer leaves and a different player is alone in the zone, that player takes over and the capture restarts from zero for them.
