How to Join MiningMaven SMP (Java & Bedrock)

Step-by-step guide to joining MiningMaven SMP on Minecraft Java Edition or Bedrock Edition — the server addresses, how to add them, and what to do first.

MiningMaven SMP is a cross-play survival Minecraft server: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition (phone, tablet, console, Windows) share one world. Here is exactly how to connect from each and what to do once you are in.

On Minecraft Java Edition

1. Open Minecraft Java (latest version) and click "Multiplayer".
2. Click "Add Server".
3. Put anything you like as the server name.
4. For the server address, enter: play.miningmavensmp.com:25566
5. Click Done, then double-click the server to join.

On Minecraft Bedrock Edition

1. Open Minecraft (Bedrock) and go to Play, then Servers, then Add Server.
2. Put anything you like as the server name.
3. Server address: play.miningmavensmp.com
4. Port: 19132
5. Save, then select the server and join. Accept the resource pack when asked.
6. Your name will show as .YourName in game — that dot marks Bedrock players so names never clash with Java ones.

Console (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) can only add servers through the Featured list by default; if you cannot see an Add Server option, search for the BedrockConnect method for your console — it lets you enter any server address.

If you can't connect

• Double-check the address: Java uses play.miningmavensmp.com:25566; Bedrock uses play.miningmavensmp.com with port 19132.
• Make sure Minecraft is up to date — the server runs the latest Java version, and Bedrock needs the latest Bedrock release.
• On Bedrock, the address and the port go in their own separate fields.
• Restart Minecraft or your device if the server does not appear right away.

What to do first

• Talk to the NPCs at spawn — they walk you through the basics and starter perks.
• Read the rules so you stay on the right side of staff.
• Vote for the server to grab free in-game rewards.
• Join the Discord to find the community, events, and support.
