How the Black Market at spawn works on MiningMaven SMP: five rotating deals every 12 hours, one purchase per restock, and what it can sell.

The Black Market on MiningMaven SMP is a rotating dealer at spawn. Every 12 hours it puts five items up for sale, and each player can buy one of them before the stock changes again. It is where rare keys, armor trims, block bundles and even spawners turn up for players with money to spend.

How to open it

• Talk to the Black Market NPC at spawn, or type /bm.
• The menu shows the five items in the current rotation, their price and how many are left.
• Click an item once, then click it again to confirm the purchase.

When it restocks

• The stock changes twice a day: at 1am and 1pm Eastern (midnight and noon Central).
• Chat announces it when the Black Market has new stock.
• Each rotation picks five items at random from a pool of 36. Common items show up often; rare ones like the Elytra or a Blaze Spawner only appear now and then.
• Some items roll a discount of 10 to 35 percent. About one item in seven gets one.

The rules

• You can buy one item per rotation. After that, the menu tells you how long until the next restock.
• Stock is shared by the whole server. If an item has 2 in stock and two players buy it, it is sold out for everyone.
• Most items cost in-game money. Spawners cost Tokens.

What it can sell

• Crate keys: Vote Key Bundle (3 Vote keys, $50,000), KOTH Crate Key ($150,000), Enchantments Crate Key ($250,000), Cosmetics Crate Key ($500,000).
• Armor trims: 18 different smithing templates, from $75,000 (Sentry, Dune, Coast, Wild) to $400,000 (Ward).
• Bundles: Diamond Block, Emerald Block and Shulker Shell bundles.
• Rare items: Enchanted Golden Apple, Netherite Upgrade Template, Mending book, Dragon Breath, Safari Net, Beacon ($500,000) and Elytra ($1,000,000).
• Spawners, paid in Tokens: Zombie and Spider (300 Tokens), Skeleton and Blaze (600 Tokens).

Tips

• Check /bm after each restock. The rare items sell out fast because stock is shared.
• Save your one purchase for something you cannot get easily elsewhere. Keys and trims are usually the best value.
• Earn money for the Black Market with /jobs, daily quests, selling on the auction house, and your own /ps shop.
